Dave Koncher 1963-2023

Our auctioneer and CEO, our dad, husband and best friend sadly passed away last month after a short view fierce battle with cancer. Dad is gone but so is the cancer, so I think he’d prefer that we called that a draw.

The biggest personality in any room he was in, Dave was adored by many many people in all of his escapades, whether he was cruising around Los Angeles in the 80s and 90s (mainly making a nuisance of himself to John McTiernan and Sean Connery) or more recently with his love of trading, antiques and auctioneering that he discovered in the new millenium. We will miss him greatly and remember him fondly and invite you to do the same with us.

We apologise for the short notice but tomorrow, in Dave’s hometown, Cheltenham, we will be hosting a memorial service where we invite you all to pay your respect.

It will be tomorrow, May 30th from 6pm onwards in Cheltenham. If you would like the address and to find out more about the service, please e-mail charlie@soundha.us or call Charlie (Dave’s son, the computer man!).

We may have one more sale to get rid of Dave’s existing stock and to properly ‘say goodbye‘ to our beloved customers and hall, but that is all.

Priory Auctions will not continue.
